Thank you for visiting us at www.cottagebythesea-gifts.com. After 14 years as a retail shop owner in Mukilteo, Washington, I decided to semi-retire to focus on family and friends, creative endeavors, and spending more time at the beach (of course!).
As of March 1, I will now be a part owner of Mutiny Bay Antiques and Fine Living in Freeland, WA. on Whidbey Island. You can visit the website (soon to be updated) at www.mutinybayantiques.com. I'll be working there on Mondays, so please stop by to visit and browse thru the wonderful shops within.
If you love the sound of waves, and treasure those feelings of peace, joy and wonder that you get from simply walking on the beach, you've come to the right place. Our products have been carefully selected to transport you to that "cottage by the sea". Here's what you'll find inside:
By the Sea: beach cottage decor and sea-inspired gifts (i.e. shell garlands & wreaths, beach signs, sea glass decor, mermaid's treasures jewelry collection, artwork)
Bathing Beauties: luxurious bath products to relax and unwind (i.e. French soaps and handcreams from L'epi de Provence, and La Lavande ,aroma beads from Aromafloria)
Favorite Finds: new items, vintage treasures, folk art & collectibles (includes one of a kind flea market & estate sale finds)
For Wee Mermaids and Pirates: creative toys for children and young at heart (i.e. mermaid and pirate puppets, nature play houses, fairy houses), and adorable baby gifts from the Bearington Baby Collection and North American Bear Company.
'Tis the Season: holiday gifts, decor and whimsical seasonal items (i.e. Woof and Poof collection)
Gallery: Check out some of my local beach pictures!
If you'd like to be added to our mailing list, please send us an email (See Contact Us page). We use our mailing list only to inform customers of new products, special events or sales. I hope you will truly enjoy your online shopping experience and come back to Cottage by the Sea Gifts often.

"maggie and millie and molly and may
went down to the beach (to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles,
and millie befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:
and may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.
For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea."
